Samsung Galaxy Note 9 likely to feature in-screen fingerprint sensor

In these photos, we see the familiar Samsung always on display, which has graced Samsung's phones since the Galaxy S7. It also looks to have the same virtual home button setup that the Galaxy S8 and S8+ do. The Galaxy S9 will run the latest version of Android and will have a 3.5mm audio jack.

KGI reports that Samsung believes it's in no rush to embed a fingerprint sensor since Apple hasn't been able to produce a similar technology on a mass scale either.

The third spot went to LG Electronics, which had a 16.6 percent share and 6.6 million units of sales, followed by Chinese firms ZTE and TCL-Alcatel with an 11.1 percent share and a 4 percent share, respectively. At least the flash separates the fingerprint scanner from the cameras, so owners won't get fingerprints all over the camera lens. The Galaxy Note 8 is expected to come with a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. Present is the 6.3-inch SuperAMOLED display, which is a tag larger than the Galaxy S8+.

"Last week delivered a shock: arguably the Galaxy Note 8's biggest headline feature will not make it into the final design". This is the same resolution that was first arrived on the flagship Galaxy S8. Samsung will almost certainly want to get the Galaxy Note 8 out to the general market ahead of the arrival of Apple's radically redesigned iPhone 8 as well as iPhone 7s and 7s Plus. Also, fast wireless charging should also be available as we would expect. The former will have a f/1.7 aperture, while the latter will come with f/2.4 aperture and 2x optical zoom.

Blass adds that the dual-camera system could be positioned horizontally as it is comprised of two 12-megapixel sensors.

Since most people prefer to have a slim smartphone, the developers of the Note 8 are forced to keep a certain battery capacity to keep the design slim.

Samsung enthusiasts were disappointed to find the fingerprint sensor was shifted to the back of the Galaxy S8, located to the right of the camera.

The leaked images show the device in its full glory, including the significant S-Pen in Note series. This translates to nearly SG$1,597 in the Singapore market.
