Brock Lesnar sends warning to Jon Jones

The former light heavyweight contender spoke with MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani on Monday to discuss life after retirement and named his terms for ending it.

Over the weekend, in the main event of UFC 214, light heavyweight legend Jon Jones reclaimed the divisional title with a third-round knockout of his arch rival, Daniel Cormier.

It would later emerge that Cormier had suffered a concussion, and looking at his demeanor in the Octagon after the finish that seemed clear as when he did get to his feet after a few minutes he still looked unsteady, confused and agitated, apparently unaware that he'd been knocked out.

The Associated Press reached Lesnar shortly after he watched the championship fight and then heard Jones call him out.

During the Live Audio Wrestling podcast, Dave Meltzer stated that there is interest for the fight to occur from both parties.

A fight between Jones and Brock Lesnar would mean massive amounts of money for everyone involved. "I think you have to let the guy talk". I did a lot of right things to get back in this position.

"Would I fight Jon Jones?". A UFC official last week denied rumours Lesnar has re-entered USADA's testing pool, creating uncertainty as to when he could return to action. Although Lesnar has spent the past five years working for WWE, he remains a huge draw for MMA fans and one of UFC's most iconic stars.

Someone else listening to this goes, "So you don't want to win the fight?"

UFC president Dana White publicly took issue with the interview as well. But that's not the only reason he has dominated the light heavyweight division for nearly a decade now.

He tweeted: "U have nothing to apologize for". Jones already said he prefers Lesnar over a fight with reigning heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic - assuming he makes a move up to heavyweight - and the oddsmakers apparently heard him.

Jones swept Cormier's legs, causing him to tumble to the ground, before unleashing a relentless series of left uppercuts to his head. "I don't even know what happened", Cormier said.
