The document floated the idea of a "complaint box" for members of the media to air their grievances. His sin probably was not the public profanity.
Update 12:14 p.m. ET: In a statement, Wallace said the accusation that Fox News conjured Zimmerman's story to detract from the Russia investigation is "completely erroneous".
Kelly also made it clear that everyone in the staff - including Bannon, Ivanka Trump and Kushner - would clear policy proposals, personnel recommendations and advice from outsiders through him. The longer they stay, the more likely it is that Kelly will end up as just one more senior aide competing for Trump's ear. And so I think what he'll bring is that strong approach of following a process. The ally replied that he had, a person familiar with the conversation said, and Trump seemed to agree.
In his brief time at the White House, Anthony Scaramucci seemed to epitomise its chaos.
In my view, the appointment of Gen. Kelly is a grand slam home run. For example, over the weekend, Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney said the Senate should return to health care before it takes up any other legislation, something that Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will almost certainly ignore. But Sessions has proved a hard nut to crack as attacks both from the presidency and politicians have left him undeterred.
If Kelly can truly organize the president's communications and his daily counsel, a semblance of system may arise within the White House.
That revolving door combined with the Republicans infighting over how to repeal Obamacare, leaks from the West Wing and then on-the-record tirades to journalists about said leaks from the West Wing makes for a wild ride. Kelly attended the dinner as well. If you would like to discuss another topic, look for a relevant article.
Outwardly, Scaramucci appeared to be in the president's good graces.
While there is great concern, virtually nobody in the media is addressing the elephant in the room: How did we get into this position? The most consequential bill sent to the president so far has been a stiffening of sanctions on Russia (plus Iran and North Korea). Scaramucci said to TMZ in a clip flagged by the Hill. He's now gone of course - but also Defense Secretary James Mattis, National Security Adviser Lieutenant General H.R. McMaster and now Kelly. Who you know to be self-absorbed, self-important and narcissistic maniacs?
Kelly can't fix the Trump administration. Scaramucci is seen here speaking on CNN's 'New Day' on July 26, 2017.
But the minute they stop running block for the Trumpster, they become victims of his ire.
Or possibly even two.
