Philippe Coutinho hands transfer request to Liverpool to force Barcelona move

In a statement on Friday, the club's owners said its "definitive stance" was that "no offers will be considered".

While at Derby, Hughes had long appeared on the verge of winning promotion to the Premier League until their disappointing performances last season concluded with his transfer to Watford.

Klopp has been firm in his stance that Coutinho is not for sale.

The match is on Saturday August 12 with kick-off at 12.30pm.

Instead, they had upped the ante less than 24 hours before their Premier League opener against Watford, a game for which manager Juergen Klopp said the Brazilian was injured. The most impressive fact is that they have kept four clean sheets, which shows that their defense has improved. But if Moreno continues to be sub par and Milner has to assume midfield duties, Liverpool will occasionally hand the charge of the left wing to the 23-year-old. He is a good player, but whether he is Liverpool level, it is yet to be decided.

Watford also tabled an enquiry to the player's availability recently, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Well, after that last, it'd have to be Henderson, then.

The player's future seemingly hinges on his desire to force a move to Barcelona, with the saga likely to become more convoluted if Coutinho refuses to train or play - as he could if he wishes to push through a deal. They've gotten Salah in, and he looks phenomenal.

Firmino's work-rate and technical ability make him a unique weapon.

Gerrard, meanwhile, believes Pep Guardiola's drastic rebuilding of the Manchester City first team, which has seen Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy, Ederson, Danilo and Kyle Walker join the club, this summer, will see the blue side of Manchester reign supreme once again, with Liverpool finishing as runners up, followed by United and Chelsea.

He will not be available to face the Hornets this weekend, however, and is a doubt for the first leg of the Champions League qualifying play-off against Hoffenheim on Tuesday, after failing to recover from a back injury. "Then we will talk about it", Klopp said.

"That's the way it will go and there's nothing else to say about this".

Liverpool are not a team that get flustered when confronted with big names. "So what they pay in the end doesn't matter".
