We've already watched two classics between Diaz and the Dubliner, now's the time for a fresh match-up.
A third fight with Nate Diaz is the most likely outcome for McGregor's return to the Octagon, assuming he ever actually returns. Rich Franklin had become second fiddle to Anderson Silva at middleweight, but was too small to hang with bigger and stronger light heavyweights. "We're all looking forward to having Conor at WrestleMania". Where Diaz, like, Conor was landing all the shots on Diaz as well and all the other stuff that we came up with worked against Diaz, it's just he kept coming and coming and coming and coming.
This is the theory, at least.

Guys can jump from weight class to weight class and super fights become a more realistic possibility.
There's a UFC event next weekend. He could do just as well as Floyd Mayweather when he fought the Big Show.
